Privacy & terms
Plain-language terms. Last updated: 7 October 2026.
Membership terms
These terms apply to everyone who joins Team Laiq Khan: members of a chamber, chamber leads and campus ambassadors. By ticking the box on the application form you agree to them. We want people who show up and take responsibility, not a long list of names, so please read them honestly.
1. Eligibility and honesty
- You are 18 or older, or you have a parent or guardian's permission to apply.
- You are a student, graduate or working professional in a field relevant to the chamber you chose.
- Everything you put on the application is true and up to date. A false statement, such as a made-up institution or experience, is a reason to refuse or end your membership.
2. Commitment
- You are applying because you intend to take an active part. You will give roughly the time per week you stated, and you will finish the tasks you accept.
- You will reply to messages from the team, usually on WhatsApp, within 3 days. If you cannot, tell your chamber lead before you go quiet.
- You will tell us early if your time or situation changes. Stepping back politely is always better than disappearing.
3. Conduct and loyalty to the team
- You will represent the team honestly and respectfully, online and in person, and you will not say or do anything that damages its name.
- You will not speak or make promises for the team without approval. That includes prices, certificates, results, partnerships and medical or academic claims.
- You will not collect money, run a rival group or use the team's name, logo, ID card or badge for anything the team has not agreed to.
- You will keep private things private: internal chats, unpublished material and other people's details.
- Harassment, plagiarism, spreading misinformation and conflicts of interest you do not disclose are not acceptable.
4. Roles are given by the team
Membership and every role in it, including chamber lead and ambassador, are offered at the team's discretion. Applying does not guarantee a place. The team may assign, change or end a role at any time. It is a voluntary role, not employment, and it is unpaid unless agreed in writing.
5. Inactivity, and ending a membership
- If you are inactive or unresponsive, for example you do not reply within 7 days of a reminder, or you miss your agreed duties for 30 days, the team may suspend your membership or ambassadorship, and then revoke it.
- If you break these terms seriously, the team may suspend or revoke it straight away.
- Before revoking for inactivity we will message you once and give you 7 days to explain. The final decision is made by the team leadership.
- While suspended or after revocation your public status changes to Suspended or Revoked, your card and badge stop being valid, and you must stop presenting yourself as part of the team and stop using its name, logo, card and badge.
- You can resign at any time by telling your chamber lead.
6. Ambassador card and public profile
- An ambassador ID card is issued to you but remains the team's. Its status is public and live, so a revoked or expired card shows as such.
- For transparency, every ambassador has a public profile page that anyone can open with your ID. By becoming an ambassador you agree that it shows your full name, role, institution, city, program or year, your ID and the dates your card is valid, plus the photo, short "about" text, skills, activities and links you choose to provide. Your phone number and email are never published.
- Ambassadors can download their card and badge from their profile page. The QR code on the card opens that page, so anyone can check the card is real. Do not alter a card or use it for anything the team has not agreed to.
- You can ask the team at any time to correct something on your profile or to remove your photo.
7. Your work
You will only submit work that is your own or that you have permission to use. You allow the team to use what you create for it, such as graphics, notes, posts and videos, with credit where practical. You keep ownership of your own work.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The version you accepted is recorded with your application. Continuing as a member after a notified change means you accept it.
Privacy for applications
- What we collect: what you type into the application: name, WhatsApp number, email, city, institute or workplace, program, semester or profession, skills, your reasons, experience, availability, social handle and who referred you. We also record when you agreed to these terms, and which version.
- Why: to decide on your application, contact you, place you in a chamber and, if you become an ambassador, create your card.
- Who sees it: only the admin team and the lead of the chamber you chose. Your phone number and email are never shown publicly.
- How long we keep it: if you are not accepted, up to 12 months after the decision, then it is deleted. If you join, for as long as you are a member and up to 12 months afterwards. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
- What is public if you become an ambassador: your full name, role, institution, city, program or year, ID, status and validity dates, plus the photo, short "about" text, skills, activities and links you choose to provide, on a public profile page. Never your phone number or email.
- We do not sell your details and we do not share them outside the team.
General privacy
What we collect
- When you book a session, order material or write to us: your name, phone number, email if you give one, your message, and the payment receipt you upload.
- When you claim a certificate: your name and optionally your email.
What we do with it
- Check payments, confirm sessions, send your material and reply to you.
- Receipts are stored privately and only the admin team can open them.
- We do not sell your details, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Ambassador verification
Ambassador verification is open to everyone. Anyone who knows an ambassador ID, or scans the QR code on a card, can open that ambassador's public profile: full name, photo, role, institution, city, program or year, and the live status and validity dates of the card. Phone numbers and emails are never shown. If you are shown a card, check that the name, photo and institution on the profile match the person in front of you. Each ambassador also has a public profile page (about, skills, activities and links) that anyone can read. A card that is pending, suspended or revoked shows only its status and a short name.
Bookings and payments
- A booking is confirmed only after the payment receipt is checked. Until then it shows as pending.
- Amounts shown on the site may change until the final rates are announced.
- Refunds and rescheduling are handled case by case. Contact us as early as you can.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, use the contact form and tell us the phone number or email you used.
